Last year I was a first year teacher who was completely remote. Our "classroom" was 100% virtual in the form of a Google Bitmoji Classroom. Thankfully, technology made it possible to create a warm and engaging environment for my students. This year I'm a second year teacher with a (real) classroom with (in person) fourth graders! This means I now need to create a physical room where my students feel encouraged to do their best work and be their best selves. Through my projects I'm trying to create a classroom that supports them socially, emotionally, and academically. My students will be able to work where they're comfortable and feel supported as individual learners. The sky is the limit for them. (:
