Since kindergarten has become a full day program, the long day makes it essential for kids to be able to move throughout the day. Many of my student have a difficult time staying in a chair for extended periods. Having flexible seating option that would allow movement as they learn will be incredibly beneficial to their learning needs. I am requesting beanbag seats, wobble chairs, soft seats and a few other seat choices. Students would have the opportunity to engage in learning while satisfying their urge to move. More learning would take place because less breaks would be required! It would also create a more comfortable and welcoming environment, supporting the learning of all students, regardless of their ability to sit still.
