I have many firsties who have difficulty staying still for any period of time. Giving these students access to wobble seats or fidget bands would give them an outlet for their overflowing energy. These students would be able to concentrate more on class learning and also have an outlet for their energy that benefits everyone. The bean bag chairs would make our Daily 5 reading so much more enjoyable! Students would have the choice to read in comfort and fall deeper into their stories and adventures. It is my wish to increase class engagement in learning with these classroom furniture items. By having these resources readily available to my students, they will benefit and thrive from the choice, mobility, and joy that comes from a positively flexible environment catered to their needs. I know that these resources I chose would bring joy and excitement to my students. It is so important to get students excited about learning and reading during this period of their lives. I cannot wait to see the look on their faces and furthermore see the increase in class engagement and learning!
