My students amaze me daily as a lot of them come from trauma sensitive situations at home, yet come to school ready to take chances to grow academically and personally. Each child who comes through my classroom enjoys learning and coming to school as for some of them, it is their safe place. A place were teachers and others surround and support them to achieve endless possibilities. In the art room our students are able to learn problem solving strategies and techniques, responsibilities, perseverance, creativity, communication, and collaborating skills. All of which make great leadership skills to ensure success in and outside the classroom. My students are creative, innovative and full of new ideas. Their energy brings a lot to the art room as they are always eager and thrilled to learn new things!
