My Specialized Programs students are amazing visual, tactile and kinesthetic learners. However, their exceptionalities (ADHD, mild-moderate intellectual disability & autism) make it difficult for them to process language and directions and express themselves verbally and in writing. We learn together at a charter school in Louisiana that focuses on meeting the needs students as individuals. This means celebrating each student's unique learning style and working with their strengths to develop a creative and effective learning environment for all students.
