My 7th graders attend an inner-city school in a major city in Texas. More than 90% of my students are considered to be in a low socioeconomic status and therefore qualify for free and reduced lunch at school. My students are predominantly of Latino/Hispanic descent, and a large percentage of my students know English as their second language. However, these statistics do not phase my students who dream of going on to college in order to better support their families.

About my class
