As an elementary school counselor in an urban city it is my job to serve the whole school. I work with pre-k through 5th grade, either by providing individual counseling and/or group counseling. Through these processes I help them learn about themselves and/or allow them the chance to heal from difficult situations. Whether a loss of a pet or separation from a parent, sometimes students need to release their emotions in order to re-focus in class.
