My students have specific learning disabilities and their reading comprehension levels vary between each student. They are in a smaller learning environment that provides extra support when it comes to reaching grade level standards. The general education teachers and I collaborate very often and try to teach the same curriculum at the same time.My students are very eager to learn the same things their other classmates in general education are learning, and we believe we can achieve this when they are taught at different levels while still holding the essence of the curriculum. Also, students in the general education classroom that are struggling readers will benefit from additional resources such as the ones we are requesting.
