Our students will benefit from having a hands-on experience in a smaller group setting and be given new opportunities that they otherwise would not get. For example, how many children in an elementary school get to have the experience of looking at slides under a microscope, analyzing what they see and discussing it with others in their group? Unfortunately, not many in this day and age. This is something that our young children will get to experience when they walk through the doors of our MakerSpace. They will see the importance of all things STEM-related. When they have that chance at a young age, they will realize that they can and will be whatever they choose as they get older including becoming a scientist, someone in the field of technology or an engineer. Having a hands-on experience and being creative with their minds are some of the best things a child can share with others as they will also learn how to work as a team with their peers.
