I have 22 kindergarten students that are diverse in education. Some are eager to learn, some do not want to be a in class, some do not even want to be in school, while I have those that want to read and write already or wish that they could because they have siblings that they see or want to imitate. My students do come from a very economically challenged neighborhood and some have not ever been outside the circumference of their street. Most of my students are being raised by older grandparents or single parent households, whom parents may even be incarcerated.
