My students are an amazing group of calm, respectful second graders in South Central. Many did not go to kindergarten and have had a tumultuous school experience. Our school's mission is to get these kids to and through college, with resources that they need to overcome the challenges of their high-poverty environment. I have never met such a resilient group of students and they deserve only the best in their education.
