Adding STEM materials to my classroom will help enhance the learning and level of education my students will receive. Having a way for my students to be free to explore their thinking with materials that are reusable will encourage them to make mistakes and grow!
These activities are useful because they encourage STEM thinking as well as teamwork and cooperating with other students.
Luckily for my students, we already have the perfect place to use magnets (the Lakeshore Stand-Up magnetic Wipe and Write Center)...however, we don't have any magnets to use on it! This is where the Create-a-Path Magnetic Center and the Engineer-a-Coaster Activity Kit will come in handy the most! The Magna-Tiles can be used alongside our math curriculum in a way that is a more hands-on way to practice shapes. In kindergarten, we also learn about maps and having a Create-a-Path kit will help my students see the way maps work and are formed. The great part about this project is how many ways the products can be used in our curriculum and to aide my students.
