I am applying for a course through Breathe for Change to certify me to write curriculum and teach yoga and Social-Emotional Learning with our students and teachers through direct instruction and professional development. Students have been vulnerable to anxiety and depression throughout the pandemic due to a lack of social connection and with so many of the social benefits of school limited. Additionally, this work supports teachers in caring for their students by creating safe and healthy environments and habits during a challenging time. This work is grounded in the CASEL core competencies for social and emotional well-being.

About my class
