Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future. My students will use this technology to create digital content, such as PowerPoint slides, and different applications can be used to practice various skills such as adding, reading, and sight words. In addition, students can create multi-media projects, where they record and video tape themselves and use these recordings for reflection in the classroom. This will be a station where students can creatively problem solve and explore digital content. Educational trends are changing. Digital devices are now an integral part of learning. Students are becoming technology proficient at a very young age, and the screens hold their attention. These devices will give our classroom the ability to have several projects going on at the same time. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of meaningful reading and writing.
