As a School Counselor, I work with all the students at my school. My school is a community enriched site, where we become one big family. At times the students need more support emotionally. Whether it's a melt down because something happened at home or school, or feelings have been triggered and they are struggling behaviorally in class. Many students are dealing with home issues from divorce, parents fighting, or having to move, to monetary/ job loss. Some are are also dealing with diagnosis such as Attention Deficit Disorder, and anxiety. Everyday they come to class to ready to learn and work hard. Due to life struggles they are in need of extra support and ways to learn coping skills.
