Hello! My name is Karli Smith, and I am a 4th grade ELA teacher. I am incredibly enthusiastic about growing with my students as learners and people. I am passionate about building character and community through learning in my classroom, and therefore strive to incorporate resources that evoke and encourage qualities such as critical thinking, self-respect, appreciation of diversity, and compassion. The students I serve are phenomenal human beings who have brightened my life and widened my perspectives, and I hope our classroom does something of the same for them. As a Title I school with about 95% of our students qualifying for free and reduced lunch, physical resources of our community are simultaneously imperative for our students, and yet at times limited. I strive each day to give my students the best of myself on their road to success, and am hoping to provide them with the best resources for their journey.
