Welcome to my 8th grade English classroom where my students are engaged in analytical thinking, academic discourse, and independent learning. Through small and larger group discussions such as Socratic Seminars and Philosophical Chairs, students are gaining a deeper understanding of literary texts and an ability to support their points with text evidence. More importantly, they are learning to listen and respond to what others say. It is going to be quite an exciting year as they become more and more independent in their learning! Watch out high school! My kids are coming, and they are ready!
