I teach high school special needs students consisting of kids with autism, downs, and other intellectual disabilities. My classroom consists of 10 students and 2 adults. Having a color printer in our classroom allows us to print visual picture and schedule cards quickly that our students require for learning and communication. This also allows us to print colorful resources that our students can see and understand. Having a printer in the classroom would allow us to print quickly while maintaining supervision of our students and assuring their safety. Due to the cognitive and behavioral needs of my students the presence of both adults is necessary at all times. This means that running across campus to the media center for copies is not always an option. In the event that we end up distance learning, this printer will be used to create colorful and engaging paper packets for the students.
