Giving these students a comfy reading corner, where they can go to read their books during center rotation, will be a wonderful addition to their daily routines. I want my students to really enjoy reading! Who can sit and read a great book in a stiff desk? I want my students to feel relaxed with flexible seating (Foam Throw Pillow Stump/ Stump Storage Box Seat) and for them to have a nice get away (Teepee Tent) where they could really get lost in a great book! I also want my students to have a listen station,(HamiltonBuhl) where my lower readers can have stories read to them. As a Guided Reading School, we really want the children to find their own passion with reading. I want them to read what they are interested in, not force them to read subjects that don't. What's better way to encourage this? By giving these students their own, unique, reading nook!
