My students need to be competitive with other students around the state, country, and world when they go and sit for the AP US History Exam in May. Throughout my AP US History Training this summer I heard a lot of, "Have your students buy the AMSCO, it's a great tool." It is a great tool. It provides concise summaries of each period my students will be tested on, practice stimulus questions, practice short/ long answer questions, and DBQ practice. All of the practice exercises are modeled after what the students will see on the test. Knowing some of my students’ backgrounds, how can I in good faith, ask them and their families to buy this book (a luxury for many of my students)? I would like to make sure that my kids have the same access and starting point in order to be successful on their exam and earn college credit.
