Our class is fortunate to have access to iPads. Students use these iPads to access read aloud stories (boosting vocabulary and language), alphabet and counting games, and rhyming games... essentially creating an avenue for technology to support math and literacy! We need headphones to be able to work independently on iPads during learning centers. Meanwhile, with my guidance, TK can begin reading beginner books at Level A/B. These books are engaging, relevant, and accessible to my young readers- certainly preparing them for kindergarten! I envision a space where students can comfortably, independently engage in Early Literacy and Math skills with the support of hands-on experiences, technology, and teacher guidance. With your help, I hope to make this environment possible for my students.
