My students need two Apple iPads for instruction. For kids with special needs, the right materials can make a huge difference in the classroom. Research shows that iPads used with children in Special Ed classrooms are proving to be productive. This tool is invaluable to my students. It excites them, motivates them and most of all taps into their most natural way of learning. Every day new technology is changing our lives in ways we never imagined. For individuals with autism, technology can improve communication, assist in the development of social skills, and enhance the ability to learn. Without consistent access to technology, my students are not able to demonstrate all of their academic abilities . I believe that they should not be held back because of lack of funds, but deserve to explore and learn on the same level as students who are typically developing. Our classroom will be forever changed by the addition of iPads. All students will be able to access learning through technology on a daily basis - amazing!
