I am in my second year of teaching in a school district that does not have the funding for art supplies. My students are in need of painting and project specific supplies.
Painting helps the students to develop their fine motor skills as well as develop their own personal style of artwork. My students do not have enough brushes for a class to paint together if we had a classroom pack of multiple brushes it would aid in the student development of fine motor skills as well as hand-eye coordination. They also learn about color theory and interaction but currently are limited to red blue and black, with your donations we will be able to afford more variety of paint colors for the children to explore with.
My students work on mini art projects and found object project to incorporate science and art into one. For these projects, we need pipe cleaners and buttons to create sculptures sometimes of animals or insects sometimes abstract. The hot glue gun will be used by the teacher to apply patches as needed to the projects.
These materials are not expensive alone but together they add up. I thank you and my students thank you for any and all help you can provide.
