My students are K-3 graders. A full 91% of them are Hispanic, and they are economically disadvantaged. Sadly, many of them do not have a computer or tablet at home. The majority of my students are English Language Learners who struggle in all academic areas, but they have developed major deficits in reading and writing. All of my students struggle with specific learning disabilities, processing disorders, are on the autism spectrum, or simply have other health impairments that makes it difficult for them to access the curriculum without additional support and innovative ideas to keep them engaged. My students fall within the neediest group at my school.
