I facilitate reading instruction in small, differentiated groups. The students in my class demonstrate a wide range of reading abilities. All student receive literacy instruction that meets their needs. Over half of the class is below grade level when it comes to reading. Students are in need of rich, leveled and targeted texts that can serve the purpose of helping students to build foundational and fluent reading skills. These books would provide high-quality instruction that targets the specific skills that each student needs support with. Okay his set would also be specifically for my class, so sharing books with other classrooms would no longer be an issue.
