I want my students to feel safe and comfortable in their learning environment. They need access to pads, tampons, and baby wipes in case of emergencies. Since most of my students are shy, these basic sanitary items need to be in an accessible location. My special education students have a routine of wiping down their desks/ chairs and sanitizing their hands before we start the lesson. If we use the dry-erase boards and markers, they know to wipe them down with alcohol wipes when we finish. I keep extra masks and face shields in the room in case a student needs them. Students have a routine of coming to class, grabbing their binder and a calculator, sitting in their seats, and beginning to work. Monday is vocabulary day. Tuesday is IEP Goal Work day. Wednesday is i-Ready day. Thursday is calculator skills day. Friday is quiz day. After the quiz, students are free to color or play math games.
