My students love to read. They love visiting the library each month and ask to borrow books from my mini-classroom library daily. This project will hopefully expose them to a great story that is exciting and relevant. Due to the high population of English Language learners and Special Education students, they would benefit from the read aloud version of "Freak the Mighty" to listen to while they read the physical copy. I plan on introducing the book as a book study after we finish our state testing in late April as a positive and memorable way to finish out the school year!
