The world is rapidly pushing for us to be tech savvy. In class, I find that we are at a disadvantage when there are not enough computers to go around when we want to play online games or do research for projects. Having the kindle fire tablets will allow my students to take charge of their learning and become familiar with how to use technology to solve problems. They will have access to classic books and websites that will allow every student to participate no matter the language barrier. I want to increase their interaction with technology because they seldom use it as a resource for learning. Once they learn that they can use the tablets to look up words they did not know or see pictures and videos that explain the items we read about, they will hopefully start to do it on their own with the technology they possess at home. Help me show my students that there is more to technology than tweets and snap chat.
