Students will be able to utilize tablets during center time which will provide for practice in learning concepts that they are learning in class. In addition, students will be allowed access to technology for scaffolding the language with the use of digital pictures. Having tablets during center time will also allow me to target small groups with greater efficiency. The applications on the tablet will be engaging for students and they will further look forward to their time in centers. Furthermore, students will be learning how to use technology, something which is absent in homes of many immigrant students and students with low socioeconomic backgrounds. If students do have this access at home often times there is a struggle in how to properly use the technology or their time is sparse since many students have siblings.
