Have you ever been to an Escape Room? Have you ever tried to solve puzzles? Were these exciting times for you? We would like to be able to give our students that opportunity through the use of BreakOut boxes in our classroom, as well as other classrooms throughout THS. We have students in our pre-algebra classes that aren't too crazy about math. If we had the BreakOut boxes, we could get away from the traditional paper/pencil work that we do a lot of and have some more hands-on activities in the classroom. Many of our students like to be leaders. When they are doing hands-on activities, they excel and can become the leaders that they would like to be. If we had these BreakOut boxes we could share them with other teachers in our building and the students could become leaders in other curricula areas too. We are hoping that these activities put a little excitement into their day and the students look forward to coming to class, just to see what we are going to do.
