These items will help my students focus on learning in class by giving them the ability to get out excess energy. Specifically, these items will go towards students who have a documented need for a fidget item. For example, the wiggle seats and chair flex bands will help students who have trouble staying in their seats. They will benefit them by giving students ways to physically get out their energy other than walking around the room, potentially distracting others. For all my students, these items will be available if they're having trouble focusing. Often, my students take ownership over their needs and tell me when they are having trouble self-regulating. Therefore, these fidget items will be an essential part of learning in our classroom.
