I am so excited to share this project! I have a classroom of diverse, intelligent, and unique students who are in need of basic classroom items to reach their full potential! In my classroom, I use paddles the students can write on with dry erase markers and hold in the air during instruction time. Unfortunately, we are currently out of these markers. As a teacher at a Title I school, our supplies are very limited and I cannot outfit a classroom on my own. I would also love to introduce a small group center into my classroom and have included a set of stools in this project! These stools would allow my students to gather in a small group with teacher instruction anywhere in the classroom. Research proves that flexible seating in this form keeps students more engaged during instruction. This will also allow students to move freely when doing partner work. This project also includes essential class materials including rulers, pencils and a box of copy paper for me to make materials on. Today, teachers are only given one box of copy paper per semester to make copies of homework, assessments, and parent letters. Unfortunately, I am currently out of this copy paper and in desperate need of more. As a first-year teacher, these supplies would make such a difference not only to me but to my students. I can't wait to see what the future holds for my sweet students and to use these supplies!
