I am a social-emotional focused teacher. This means every art project my students make they also take a dive into their feelings about themselves, other cultures, and world conflicts. This is a very therapeutic experience where students really get to know themselves. These materials will help fuel the new found student desire to be creative while questioning themselves and the world around them though working with clay. Learning outcomes of my lessons include being able to set aside your own biases to better understand the views of others, questioning the world around you, and of corse the actual abilities needed to create art. All my lessons have a strong emphasis on character words such as compassion, integrity, respect, and perseverance.
