The speech buddies professional tools can be used to quickly and precisely help my students achieve correct functional tongue placement to accurately produce stubborn speech sounds. A set of speech buddies professional tools will help me provide the tactile feedback necessary for my articulation students to achieve proper tongue placement while producing the r, s, l, sh, and ch sounds. Speech buddies professional tools streamline articulation therapy through demonstrating the functional movement of the tongue while producing the r, s, l, sh, and ch sounds. The use of the speech buddies professional tools in conjunction with speech therapy activities both in and out of the therapy room results in my students rapidly generalizing correct functional tongue placement in school, with peers, and outside of the school setting. Generalization of accurate tongue placement through the use of speech buddies results in increased intelligibility, higher self esteem, and the chance to effectively interact in the classroom and with peers without the worry of misarticulations. Nothing is more rewarding than giving the gift of speech to a student and watching that student achieve his or her full potential.
