I teach in a community where most of the students in our school come from broken homes or even no home at all. I work at a school where students can go and feel safe and loved by the teachers and faculty that surround them. I teach 4th and 5th graders math and science. I have a diverse group of learners;some have behavior issues, some have learning defects, and some come to school hungry and dirty. No matter what they case, my students walk into my classroom every morning and know that I have provided them a safe learning environment for them to be in.
