My class is a diverse group of students from all around the world. There are students that are refugees from areas in Africa and the Middle East. The others are from other minority races. Most of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch as a result of their family income being under the poverty level. Overall, despite the many challenges they may have to face before they even come to school, I want my students to be fully equipped and supported as soon as they walk into my classroom.
