Our school is a Title I school in Alabama. It is very hard to receive donations where we are. My students live in a rural area. I teach 24 students with learning disabilities in the grades 4th thru 6th daily. Some students receive time in the resource room and others receive my support in their own classroom. We fight through our struggles everyday in subjects such as math and reading and we celebrate through our accomplishments. These students need the motivation and praise everyday in and out of school. I try to make my classroom fun, exciting and comfortable for all of my students. I do my best to make my kids realize that they are important and I am here for them no matter what. We work everyday to reach each child's academic goal throughout the year. Sometimes we use what we have and work with it; however, my students would definitely benefit from all the new materials we are requesting for our classroom.
