In an interactive and engaging first grade classroom, students are learning while doing and moving. This creates the need for exceptional organization of materials and classroom space. A messy learning space reduces the ability for the brain to concentrate on the task at hand. An organized space keeps the mind focused and ready to soak up new information. This new storage system will teach students organizational accountability and keep their work spaces clutter free. The new reading table will also give them a clean and focused space to learn in a small group setting. Small group instruction differentiates my teaching to help reach all of the unique students that I serve in my classroom. A small group reading table will create a space for me to work together with my students to improve on individual abilities. Right now, we work together on the floor because our reading table is too small for our materials. Your donations will help my students reach their fullest potential by providing them with enough space and an adequate learning environment.
