This upcoming year we will begin school fully online. Even though our district provides online programs for students to use, this is not enough if I want my English language learners to be successful. Students will use their dry erase lap boards to practice their handwriting and show their work solving math problems. They can easily work out a problem and show me through the camera for immediate feedback. Although my students are second graders, many of them are below grade level. Many of my scholars are beginning to read and write. With the primary notebook my students can actually practice the hand movement of writing each letter and showcase their writing skills as I model it. The expandable file folders will help my students stay organized and have all their materials ready for online learning. Most of my students do not live in a stable environment where they can keep everything together. The materials on my list will support my students during this new distance learning era and make learning fun and interacting. The best part of this is that once we go back to the classroom my students will keep using these materials and continue their learning.
