Our students come to us every day, as members of a community living in poverty. For many of them, school is the only place they can get two meals and feel safe and cared for. These students struggle with all of the hardships that living in poverty brings, but many still show up eager to learn. Our students don't have access to technology at home, but very much need to learn what is available, and how to use it appropriately .As a teacher in a high poverty school, it is essential that I introduce my students to as many positive experiences as I can to stretch their imaginations, build their self-esteems, and to encourage them to dream of a future far better than what they are currently living.
