“In the end, we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.” – Baba Dioum
6th grade is a pivotal time to get young people interested in science and in becoming scientists. I believe through hands-on and engaging lessons in which the students are not only participants but are also teachers that young people can become passionate about science, the world around them, and conservation. By giving young students the knowledge and tools to make a difference, they will most certainly do so.
