My students are mostly Hispanic and come from a wide range of backgrounds. They are the most responsible and respectful students I have ever had the privilege of teaching, and I am passionate about getting them hooked on learning and reading! These students have the curiosity to learn and become immersed in reading. Many of them are so excited about the possibility of us starting the Battle of the Books program that they literally come to see me every day for status updates.
