My students come from a very small town in rural South Carolina. And while this region is strikingly beautiful with a comfortable blending of cornfields and palm trees in front yards, there are worlds in books my students have never experienced. This dual purpose library and reading nook will provide a physical escape for real learning and connections to take place. My students have a limited school library that often lacks new and relevant books that they are interested in. A classroom library will allow them an ease of access and a greater sense of ownership over their treasured books.
