These close reading kits will serve as a resource for my students when we read a variety of texts including short stories and non-fiction articles. Students will use the highlighters, post-it notes, and pens, to "talk to the text" by responding directly to the text. By having a class set of these kits, my students will all have the same materials and it will create consistency. Close reading is a skill we practice throughout the school year, so these kits would be put to good use! The kits can be re-used year after year until the resources need replenished. Thank you for helping my 7th graders become better readers!
