This event is in line with #collegesigningday and will showcase our seniors and the choices they have made to further their future upon graduating high school. Seniors will be showcased and have an opportunity to show pride for where they will be attending college after high school as well as other future plans. They will be surrounded by fellow teachers, parents, friends, and their families. Seniors will be called into an assembly to be celebrated, have their picture taken, and sign a college flag that matches the university they will be attending next Fall. Students who are entering the military will also be celebrated and showcased. This is so important because our students deserve to be highlighted and future graduates need to see the power of education and that they, too, can succeed. Current 9th-11th graders will also be there, and we are planning on inviting our feeder middle schools to attend. Current 8th graders, our future 9th graders, will get a glimpse into what our school stands for: committing to your future success in college and a career. Please help us in making this day as powerful and special as possible. The flags that the students will be signing will hang around the school for the remainder of the school year and through next school year so other kids can get excited about their "big day" as a senior. This is another example to show our kids that they really are "diamonds" in our eyes and will shine.
