Hands-on research based projects help every student to learn at their independent level. In our class we stray away from the traditional style of text book learning and strive for more interactive hands on projects. This interactive style of learning helps the students to developed a deeper understanding of the subject area being taught. Most of the projects are completed with a partner. I currently have 5 iPads in my classroom that that students use to research. By getting 3 additional Chromebooks, each group would be able to have their own device to conduct research. I believe that it is important for student to become comfortable with many different types of technology and learn how to research independently at a young age. By fulfilling this project I will be able to better help my students be prepared for other classes.
