My students are typical children with hopes to "make it big" as a ballerina or football star. They believe that princesses and superheroes are real but question the existence of Santa and the Tooth Fairy. Our school is located in a low economically functioning community. The students receive free breakfast and lunch each day. Our students are mostly African American. Some of my students do not have access to the Internet at home, which limits their exposure to educational websites. I try to make the most of the time I have with my students by giving them access to technology and opportunities that they wouldn't otherwise have at home. My students come into school ready to learn each day and give 100%. Through Donors Choose I request educational materials that will enhance the curriculum in my classroom.
