There are 20 second graders in our classroom. We are a Title 1 school with very little funding for school supplies and classroom resources. One of our school wide focus for 2018-2019 school year is reading. Many students are at a disadvantage coming into kindergarten, without being exposed to school before. In order to help our students become successful in reading and leave second grade on grade level, our classroom library needs to have many books on different levels and read along sets for our listening centers.
