I don't even know where to start. My kids are by far the most amazing seven year olds I know. I work in a Title I school that has a wide variety of students. My students and their families are very diverse. However, the one thing most of them have in common is the level of responsibility put upon the children. After being at school all day they go home and take care of younger siblings, and deal with abusive and neglectful situations. Yet, through all of that, they never complain and are so eager to learn new things. They are so full of life and while most of them don't get to eat breakfast in the morning they still come in smiling. Most of my students speak more than language and often translate for their parents. As a result of the language barrier there is very little parent support or involvement with school. My students are the most resilient, sweet, intelligent, hilarious kids I know and I am so proud of all of their hard work!
