My students enjoy writing. They try to imitate the authors' styles they read in class and at home. Every child in my class, although at different levels, makes the effort to write appealing stories that capture the imagination and attention of their readers. In addition, they are quite inquisitive. My students often use my laptop to research topics and find answers to their questions. My students live in a low socio-economic area. Fortunately, the school they attend is staffed by many teachers like myself who grew up in the area. The teachers believe in helping the children reach their potential and stress critical thinking.
